Lovren wants to add to club’s famous European history
Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren has said that he is keen to add to the club’s famous European pedigree with the Reds set for a Champions League semi-final tie against Roma next week.
In his early days at Anfield, he really struggled to make much of an impact at the club, with many fans wanting Jurgen Klopp to offload him and make some new signings for the defensive unit.
However, Lovren has been much improved this season. He has played a vital part in making sure that they are set for another top four finish in the Premier League..
Liverpool have had a brilliant season, improving as the weeks have gone by and winning the Champions League would be an amazing achievement for the team and the club itself.
The Croatian defender, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, has spoken about the prospect of seeing off Roma and progressing to the final hurdle of the illustrious competition in a recent interview ahead of the semi-final:
That’s what I wish. The best stories have a win at the end.
We will give everything to get to the Champions League final. It will be two tough games against Roma but I believe in our team.
