Mohamed Salah named as PFA Player of the Year
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been named the PFA Players’ Player of the Year.
Salah saw off competition from Manchester City duo Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva and Tottenham striker Harry Kane, among others to pick up the award.
Salah has enjoyed quite the debut season at Anfield, dominating the league and breaking record after record.
The Egyptian winger was recently named as the Premier League’s Player of the Month for the March, an individual accolade that Salah has collected four times this season.
The 25-year-old has scored 31 times in the Premier League this season and has set up a further nine assists for his Liverpool team mates.
Salah is also five goals ahead of Harry Kane in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot and looks favourite to win that award in his first season with the Reds.
The award rounds off what has been a spectacular first season back in the Premier League for the winger.
