Rumoured Reds target Ruben Neves was spotted by fans in Liverpool city centre earlier today, which has resulted in speculation mounting that he could be making a summer switch to Anfield.
The Wolves midfielder has been in great form all season and has been one of the driving forces behind their title winning campaign.
His performances earned rave reviews so it is no surprise to see him linked with moves to some of the country’s top sides.
With Emre Can set to join Juventus, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain suffering a knee injury and with nagging doubts about Adam Lallana’s fitness, it makes sense for the Reds to be looking at midfield options.
Napoli’s Jorginho and Norwich City’s James Maddison have also been named as potential targets but, like Neves, plenty of other teams are interested in that pair too.
No information is available as to why Neves was in Liverpool and there is a possibility that his visit had nothing to do with a transfer, but that won’t stop tongues wagging around the red half of the city today.
