Liverpool’s hopes of bringing Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, to Anfield this summer have dealt a major blow.
talkSPORT say that fellow La Liga side Real Betis, look set to re-sign the midfielder in a potential swap deal for Fabian Ruiz.
Ceballos has made just 21 appearances this term in all competitions, scoring twice, but a lack of game time has seen him wanting a move away from the Bernabeu.

According to a report by talkSPORT, the 21-year-old had openly stated his desire to move to Anfield in the summer.
But with new developments, it is believed that Betis will beat Liverpool to sign Ceballos.
Betis sold the midfielder to Real Madrid last summer in a deal worth around £16m, with Real inserting a £440m release clause in the 21-year-old’s contract.

However, the 21-year old has failed to break into the first team due to a lack of game time and it is believed Madrid will let him leave if they can sign Fabian Ruiz.
Madrid have their sights signing Betis star man Ruiz and are considering a straight swap deal which would see Ceballos move the other way.
If Betis give the green light to the potential deal, Liverpool’s plans of acquiring the Spaniard’s services would be squandered.
