Liverpool consider move for Demarai Gray
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to add two wingers to his squad in the summer and according to Dominic King of The Mail, Demarai Gray is one of the players who the club are monitoring.
The 20-year-old only joined Leicester City from Birmingham City during last season’s winter transfer window but that won’t put Liverpool off making a move for him.
Gray already has a Premier League winners medal thanks to Leicester’s amazing run last season, although they’ve fallen off massively this campaign. However, they are still competing in the Champions League and that will provide the winger with the experience of playing at the highest domestic level in Europe.
The Reds’ number one target remains as Julian Brandt, but with Klopp apparently looking to add two wingers, Liverpool will keep tabs on Gray until the end of the season.
If the player does become available, there are likely to be a few interested parties so Liverpool will need to be able to match the terms that other top sides can offer. Time will tell if they’re willing to do that.
