Liverpool have had a rather rollercoaster of a season, and still can’t be deemed as successful or not as of yet. With the next two games subsequently becoming the ‘biggest games of the season’, especially due to Arsenal grabbing a win at Stoke.
West Ham will pose a large aerial threat, one that we surely will have trained to counter on the training ground. However going into the game it seems the worry is being able to break them down.
One thing is for sure, the away fans, the players and us at home watching will need to stay calm, as West Ham will not let us have it all our own way.
The best way for us to win the game is for us to push for a goal in the first 30 minutes and put West Ham on the back foot, rather than being hesitant and nervous, as the Europa League final showed, this is not the way to approach those type of games.
Guessing the starting XI of West Ham would be much more difficult with them having a long list of absentees for the game.
However, here is the predicting starting XI of Liverpool.
Simon Mignolet
The Belgian shot stopper has been impressive as of late.
Nathaniel Clyne
Not been in great form, but has been ever present of late.
Dejan Lovren
Made a few mistakes this season but on the whole, his best season in a red shirt.
Joel Matip
The impressive centre-back has been assured and our best defender at the back following his move from Schalke on a free transfer.
James Milner
The slot in left back will complete the back four and will hope to put his penalty miss behind him.
Emre Can
Turned around a lot of people’s opinions and hit a good run of form.
Adam Lallana
Best season in a red shirt, and has became a fan favourite.
Gini Wijnaldum
Similar to Lallana, Wijnaldum is as hard working as they come and let’s hope he’s been saving those long awaited away goals for West Ham.
Roberto Firmino
The Brazilian sensation is a doubt but I expect him to make the game. However, I believe he will start on the right.
Daniel Sturridge
When fully fit, still the best striker at Liverpool. I expect him to lead the frontline with Origi making way after a poor run of for.
Phillipe Coutinho
Arguably, the best player at the club right now and our only match-winner.
