Barcelona have been actively pursuing Coutinho for some time now and failed in a move for the Brazilian in the summer.

Coutinho himself handed in a transfer request at Liverpool in an attempt to force the move to the Nou Camp but Liverpool were adamant not to sell the number 10.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has eased Coutinho back into the side and there are no signs of attitude problems from the Brazilian, who has been impressive since the saga.

However, Liverpool now know that Barcelona are going to do everything they can to sign Coutinho and with no obligation to sell, the Merseyside club will add on more figures to the Brazilian’s valuation.
