Daniel Sturridge is keen on making a January move to La Liga side Real Betis, according to reports in Spain.
The striker has been linked with a move away from the Reds as he is looking for more regular game time as he hopes to make Gareth Southgate’s England World Cup squad and as it stands, he’s finding chances to play at Liverpool hard to come by.
According to the report, Sevilla are also interested in the 28-year-old but Sturridge apparently prefers a move to Betis as he’s more likely to start games there due to a lack of competition for places.
Betis are keen to take Sturridge on loan until the end of the season, with an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.
Whether Liverpool are willing to let Sturridge leave is another matter, and they’d probably only do so if they are able to find a replacement.
