Having lost Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in the January transfer window, you could argue that Liverpool are short of options in the wide areas in attack and the Reds have been linked with a move for Deportivo youngster Pinchi.

The 22-year-old is yet to make his debut for the senior Deportivo side in La Liga but is the star man of their B team competing in the Segunda División B Group 1 in Spain’s third tier.

Pinchi is a native of A Coruna and came through the ranks at Deportivo, but his form this season, netting six goals in 22 appearances thus far, has alerted a number of top European clubs, with considerable interest coming from the Premier League.

His contract with Deportivo expires in the summer and the rapid winger is a reported target for Liverpool, according to the Guardian, who note the Reds have moved ahead of Manchester United and Tottenham in the race to secure his signature.
