Shaqiri cuts holiday short to complete Liverpool move
Xherdan Shaqiri cut his holiday short in order to complete a move to Liverpool this summer, according to James Pearce.
Pearce, of the Liverpool Echo, claims that Swiss star has been looking to get a deal done after returning from the World Cup in Russia.
The player is expected to be confirmed as a Liverpool imminently, with a medical scheduled for Friday.
Liverpool are reportedly paying a fee in the region of £13 million for the Stoke man, who will provide competition for the Reds in the final third.
Jurgen Klopp has been looking to add to his squad and given the low cost of the deal in the current market, Shaqiri was an opportunity that he could not pass up.
The 26-year-old scored eight times for Stoke last season and registered a further seven assists in the Premier League, but he was unable to help them avoid relegation to the second tier.
