Liverpool agree fee with AS Roma for Alisson
Liverpool have agreed a fee with AS Roma for Alisson.
The Reds will pay a world record fee for a goalkeeper, rumoured to be around £66m plus add-ons, and the 25-year-old will now speak to the club to hopefully agree personal terms.
Earlier in the window, it looked like Liverpool were going to stick with Loris Karius and Danny Ward but those reports proved untrue as the Reds are now splashing the cash on the Brazilian international.
This is the second summer in a row where Liverpool have done business with Monchi and Roma, having signed Mohamed Salah from them during the last off-season.
If Alisson does agree to the move, and if he come get close to having the same impact that Salah did in his first season, then everyone connected with Liverpool will be thrilled as the Egyptian took the league by storm, winning the Premier League’s Golden Boot, scoring a record 32 goals in a 38 game season.
