Bailey signs new Leverkusen deal amid Liverpool links
Leon Bailey claimed this summer that Liverpool and Chelsea had expressed a “concrete interest” in signing him from Bayer Leverkusen.
However, despite the emergence of reports linking Bailey with a big-money switch to the Premier League, no move materialised. It has now been confirmed by Leverkusen that the Jamaican winger has penned a new long-term deal with the club.

Bailey has put pen to paper on a new and improved five-year contract with the Bundesliga giants, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2023.
The 21-year-old enjoyed yet another impressive season in Germany last term. He found the net on 12 occasions and continued to establish himself as one of the league’s most exciting young players.
Bailey, who operates mainly on the left wing, appears to be a long-term target for Liverpool, but they’ll be forced to wait if they are to land him from Leverkusen following the news of his contract extension.
