Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster has taken another big step towards his return to action.

The Liverpool Echo report that the player took to Instagram to confirmed that he has started ball work in training, with the striker expected to be back to full fitness for the end of the year.

Brewster has been a long-term absentee after suffering ligament damage against Manchester City’s U23s side back in January.

The striker has been taking his recovery slowly, showcasing his developments on social media as and when they happen.

Brewster remains firmly in Liverpool’s plans going forward, with the youngster targeting a place in the first-team squad when he returns.

The 18-year-old is very highly thought of at Anfield and the club had to ward off interest from the Bundesliga to keep hold of him last season.

With Daniel Sturridge impressing at Liverpool this season, Brewster will be hoping to rival both him and Dominic Solanke for a place in the first-team squad.
