A Mohamed Salah penalty was all that split the difference between Liverpool and Brighton on Saturday and the Reds are still currently top of the Premier League by four points.

But how did the players out on loan get on in their games at the weekend?

Nathaniel Clyne – Bournemouth

Clyne played at right back for the full game for the Cherries in a 2-0 defeat away at Everton.

Kurt Zouma and Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored the goals for the Toffees, meaning Bournemouth remained in 12th place.

Danny Ings – Southampton

Ings is injured for Southampton at the moment so didn’t feature in their game, a 2-1 victory away to Leicester City.

James Ward-Prowse and Shane Long got the goals for the Saints and Wilfred Ndidi scored for the Foxes.

Southampton are now out of the relegation zone and thanks to the three points they are up to 16th place in the Premier League.

Harry Wilson – Derby County

Wilson is also injured for Derby and missed Friday’s game, a 2-0 defeat away to leaders Leeds United.

Kemar Roofe and Jack Harrison got the goals and the Rams remained in sixth place in the Championship after the defeat.

Ben Woodburn – Sheffield United

Woodburn’s loan spell has not officially ended at the Blades, but with the midfielder back training at Melwood, it is looking likely it will end in the near future.

Sheffield United won the game 1-0 with David McGoldrick scoring and are up to second in the Championship table.

Ovie Ejaria – Reading

Ejaria made his debut for Reading at left midfield, a more advanced role than the one he was playing at Rangers.

He played 75 minutes before being replaced by Gareth McCleary. The Royals beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 with John Swift and former Red, Jack Robinson with an own goal, with the goals.

Sheyi Ojo – Stade Reims

Ojo came on in the 75th minute for Pablo Chavarria and played the rest of the game up front for Reims.

They drew 1-1 with Lyon away from home with Chavarria getting the goal for Reims and Bertrand Traore with the goal for the home side.

Stade de Reims moved down to 10th place in Ligue 1.
