Bayern end interest in Liverpool target Rabiot
Bayern Munich have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder and Liverpool target Adrien Rabiot, with financial issues cited as the principle reason.
The Bavarian giants had been linked with a move for the young France international, who has been away from PSG’s first-team since December after confirming he wouldn’t sign a new contract with the club.
The 23-year old is out of contract this summer and a number of clubs, including Liverpool and Tottenham, have offered him an exit route from Parc des Princes, while Barcelona are said to be heavy favourites for his signature.
According to German publication Kicker, as reported by Inside Futbol, Bayern have withdrawn their interest after conversations with Rabiot’s representatives, deciding that a deal doesn’t make financial sense.
This can only boost Liverpool’s chances, and with Rabiot having not yet responded to Barcelona’s contract offer, they have every chance.
