Bayern Munich great and former club president Franz Beckenbauer has backed Jurgen Klopp to be a Bayern Munich manager in the future.
Klopp’s Liverpool beat Bayern 3-1 in the UEFA Champions League to secure passage to the Quarter Finals of the competition.
Despite previously managing Bayern’s rivals, Borussia Dortmund, Beckenbauer believes that Klopp could one day manage at the Allianz Arena.
Speaking before the game to Sky Germany, via Goal, the German great said:
Jurgen Klopp at FC Bayern. That would be the highlight.
Jurgen was the one who taught the Germans how to play football quickly.
Klopp’s reds will await their next round opponents after dispatching of Bayern in Munich.Two goals from Sadio Mane and one from Virgil van Dijk helped the Reds to a famous win in Germany, with a Matip own goal equalising the game before half time.
Liverpool could face the other three English sides in the Champions League, after Spurs, Manchester United and Manchester City all made it through the first hurdle in the knockout stages.
