Speculation surrounding a potential swap deal involving Juventus’ Paulo Dybala and Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has re-emerged and looks to actually be gaining a bit of pace.

Last month, the front page of Italian newspaper Tuttosport revealed that the Serie A champions had offered Liverpool £44million plus Dybala for the ‘Egyptian King’ – an offer which was politely declined.

Now, cited by the Daily Mail, Tuttomercatoweb report that Juventus are still eyeing a deal for Salah, with director of football Fabio Paratici said to be ‘extremely keen’ to add the 26-year-old to the club’s already-impressive attacking repertoire.

Despite Juve’s reported interest, Salah only signed a new bumper five-year contract at Anfield last July and the Italian club’s primary target is Federico Chiesa of Fiorentina.

Liverpool’s no. 11 impressed on two spells at Serie A clubs Fiorentina and AS Roma before returning to England in 2017 and would no doubt make an impact if he was to return.

Since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival in Turin, Dybala’s importance to Massimiliano Alegri’s set-up goes unnoticed at times as he’s fallen down the pecking order and netted nine goals in 35 games this season.

The Old Lady certainly seem willing to use the Argentina international as part of the deal to bring Salah back to Italy, but it’s difficult to see why he’d want to depart Jurgen Klopp’s side whilst they’re demonstrating the quality they are.
