Liverpool will be aiming to keep their winning form going when they face Cardiff City in Wales on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are currently one point behind title rivals Manchester City, following their victory over Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.
Hence, the pressure is expected to be on the Reds, as always, to deliver the win when they face Neil Warnock’s men.
However, Cardiff also need points if they are to stay alive in the relegation battle. Therefore, they will give their best to deny Liverpool as much as they can.
So the Merseysiders have to be ready for a battle tomorrow and show their quality when it matters.
In terms of team news, Dejan Lovren is back in contention, while Joe Gomez, who played 25 minutes against Porto, is also looking to make a come back to starting XI, if possible.
Here’s how we think Klopp may line his team up:
GK - Alisson
He is their first-choice keeper and should be in goal against Cardiff tomorrow.
RB - Trent Alexander-Arnold
The youngster was subbed off around the 65th minute on Wednesday, probably with an eye for this game. He is almost certain to start tomorrow.
CB - Joel Matip
Matip’s form has been immaculate in the past month or so. He deserves to keep his place in the team, despite the return of Lovren and Gomez.
CB - Virgil van Dijk
He is one of the irreplaceable cogs in the team and probably the first name on the teamsheet.
LB - Andy Robertson
The Scotsman struggled a bit against Porto, but he still remains their first-choice left-back and should start tomorrow.
CDM - Fabinho
The Brazil international has been a consistent presence in defensive midfield. He is almost certain to keep his place for tomorrow’s game as well.
RCM - Jordan Henderson
The captain has been a revelation since playing in an advanced midfield role. He should continue to ply his trade there for tomorrow’s game.
LCM - Naby Keita
The Guinea international was an unused sub on Wednesday and is in line to reclaim his starting berth tomorrow.
RW - Mohamed Salah
The Egyptian star is bang on form at the moment, which should ring danger to the Cardiff defence.
ST - Roberto Firmino
The Brazil international played the second half against Porto. He is more than likely to start tomorrow.
LW - Sadio Mane
The Senegalese star is one of the in-form players in the team. Cardiff defenders would be vary of him for sure.
