Klopp reveals Liverpool will not sign Lorenzo Insigne
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has ruled the Reds out of a move for Napoli star Lorenzo Insigne.
The Italian had been a reported target for the Reds, with the Italian continuing to impress for Napoli in Serie A.
However, Klopp has revealed that Liverpool will not be making an approach for the 27-year-old forward.
The Liverpool boss has said that the Reds have ended their interest in Insigne, saying, via Neil Jones of Goal.com
We will not sign Lorenzo Insigne. He’s a very good player, and he has a long term contract at Napoli. We will not even try it.
Insigne will therefore likely stay at the Serie A side, with Liverpool now looking elsewhere for depth up front.
The Italian has been impressive again this season for Napoli, scoring nine goals in 25 appearances in the league this season, whilst also grabbing six assists for his club.
Liverpool have been looking elsewhere in Europe already, with Julian Brandt also a reported target for the Reds this Summer.
