Liverpool will reportedly start the new Premier League campaign away to Burnley.
According to leaked images published by the Mirror, the Reds will kick off their new campaign on Saturday night against Sean Dyche’s men.
The report, which includes a leaked image showing a full programme of games, claims that the Champions League winners will face Burnley at 17:30 and will be shown live on BT Sport.
The leaked fixtures are unverified and are listed as subject to change, but Burnley away would by no means by the easiest of games for the Reds to open their campaign with.
Notoriously a tricky place to go, Burnley themselves will be looking to kick on after a mixed campaign last season.
Liverpool began last season at Anfield, where they beat Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham 4-0, starting the campaign as they meant to go on.
The Reds will once again be hoping for a positive result as they aim for another title charge.
Summer signings that could boost Liverpool's title chances
Another attacker could be just what Liverpool need to add to their squad in a bid to battle on all four fronts.
Klopp needs to find alternatives to the likes of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane. Depay could be the man to do just that.
Matthijs de Ligt
While it looks unlikely, Matthijs de Ligt would be the dream signing. Playing alongside Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool would have the best defensive partnership in Europe for years to come.
Another player that has been heavily linked with a summer move is Sporting’s Bruno Fernandes. He could be the man to knit things together nicely in midfield.
