Liverpool target Moussa Dembele to stay at Lyon
Lyon forward Moussa Dembele has revealed that he will now be staying at the French side despite interest from the Premier League.
After only a year in Ligue 1, with the striker moving from Celtic last Summer, Dembele had attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.
However, as reported by the Mirror, Dembele will no longer be making the swoop to the Premier League, with the striker now committed to Lyon.
Currently at the Euro U21 championships in Italy, Dembele was asked about his future, and revealed that:
I still have 4 years left on my contract, I will be in Lyon next season.
Dembele was in top form after his £20 million move from Celtic last season for Lyon in both Europe and Domestic action.
The forward’s 20 goals in all competitions had attracted interest from the Premier League, with Jurgen Klopp looking to add competition and depth to his striking options after the departure of Daniel Sturridge.
However, the German will now have to look elsewhere after Dembele confirmed his future plans.
