Liverpool travel to Yorkshire on Sunday to play their second pre-season game against League Two side Bradford City.
Jurgen Klopp’s men made a decent start to this year’s pre-season, by beating Tranmere Rovers 6-0 on Thursday, where youth played a major role throughout the game.
Even thought few senior players have reported for training since Friday, we can expect them to take some time before getting a chance to play.
So, there is a vast possibility the manager could end up using the same set of players who took the field at Prenton Park on Thursday.
In terms of injury updates, Paul Glatzel, who injured his knee in that Tranmere game, is anticipated to be out for a while.
Andrew Robertson returned to training but had a surgery on his right hand. He will take 2-3 days before joining the squad.
Below, we predict the Reds’ starting line-up who could take to the field at Northern Commercials Stadium:
GK -Simon Mignolet
The Belgium international played the first half on Thursday. He could do the same tomorrow with Alisson yet to return to pre-season training.
RB - Ki-Jana Hoever
The youngster played the second half against Tranmere and was one of the impressive players. He might be chosen to start ahead of Nathaniel Clyne tomorrow.
CB - Dejan Lovren
The Croatian reported for training on Tuesday and is in line to start. Lovren has been linked with a move away this summer, but could yet remain at Liverpool.
CB - Joe Gomez
The Englishman was rusty to begin with but settled down well against Tranmere in the first half. He should be in line to start tomorrow.
LB - Yasser Larouci
The youngster impressed many during his first half display on Thursday. He should get another chance to play the first half against Bradford.
CM - James Milner
The experienced Milner played the first 45 minutes on Thursday and is in line to lead the first team out tomorrow. Milner will be looking to force his way back into the starting XI next season.
CM - Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Englishman did well in his first pre-season game for Liverpool since joining them from Arsenal in 2017. If he aims to break into the Reds’ regular starting XI, performances in the coming games need to be first class.
He didn’t train on Friday, partly because of the club protecting him due to long-term injury history. Maybe tomorrow’s 45 minutes of game time could be his training session.
CM - Curtis Jones
The youngster was sharp and very decisive in midfield against Tranmere in the second half. He might get a chance to start tomorrow.
LW - Ryan Kent
Kent was a threat down the left-hand side during the first half on Thursday. Klopp may want to use him in a similar situation again and watch his progress.
ST - Divock Origi
Liverpool’s Champions League hero came on at half-time at Prenton Park. He could get a start tomorrow and look to find the back of the net once again.
RW - Harry Wilson
The Wales international was impressive on the right wing against Tranmere. He is in line to get another chance to impress the gaffer.
