Liverpool are ‘on the verge’ of signing a new kit deal with Nike, according to Forbes.

Liverpool’s current kit deal with New Balance expires at the end of the current season and it looks like Nike could be about to come in and take over as the club’s official kit manufacturer.

Forbes report that the deal could be the richest in the Premier League, taking them above Manchester United in terms of the clubs with the highest valued deals.

Man United’s current Adidas kit deal is worth £750 million and Liverpool, according to Forbes, will be looking for more than that amount from Nike.

This news comes on the same day that it was announced that Liverpool’s owners will be looking to redevelop the Anfield Road End of Anfield to increase the capacity of the stadium.

On the pitch, Liverpool have started to establish themselves as one of the best clubs in Europe and away from the field, the commercial team have been doing the same, which can only be viewed as a positive.
