Liverpool’s Sadio Mane has joked that fellow forward Roberto Firmino will copy his celebrations this season, as reported on the official club website.
Mane used the new celebration for the first time in the UEFA Super Cup victory over Chelsea, but Firmino claims to have used the move first. Mane said:
Bobby did that celebration two or three years ago, and I think he has had quite a few celebrations since.
My celebration now is what I’m going to carry on doing throughout the year. I know that Bobby will be copying me again soon, you’ll see!

It’s a sign of how well things are going at your club when your star players are debating about who came up with a celebration first.
The fact is that the Reds are in such good form and score so many goals that it’s hard for them not to copy a celebration.
Mane, Firmino and Mohamed Salah are considered as one of the world’s best front three and they’ve started this season in brilliant fashion.
The Senegal international was furious with Salah in the 3-0 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor for not passing him the ball but it seems like he’s back to his composed and humourous self again, which is good to see.
