Liverpool made it five wins out of five in the Premier League on Saturday, following a 3-1 comeback victory over Newcastle United at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s men are now five points clear at the top of the Premier League – no team has had that lead just five games into a Premier League season.
Jetro Willems fired Newcastle in front, but Sadio Mane got the Reds level and then gave them the lead just before half-time.
Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino combined superbly for a beautiful second half goal, completing the Reds’ win in the process.

The Brazilian is so tidy – he ends every counter-attack before it even starts, doing so much unnoticed work in the middle of the park.
Countless potential goals have been stopped at the halfway line by the Brazilian, who then recycles the ball back to the attack.
Doing the dirty work is often underappreciated and nobody is doing it better than Fabinho.

Speaking of stopping attacks, ‘Big Virg’ stops them all.
A highlight doing the rounds on social media is his incredible sprint back and tackle of Joelinton on Saturday, summing up his brilliance.
Liverpool’s captain for the day seemed to run twice as fast as the Brazilian striker, making up ground in seconds.
Hugely consistent in his individual performance, Van Dijk keeps his spot in the Power Rankings.
3. Mohamed Salah

The Egyptian King finished off the game in the second half with a tidy finish, but he stays third for the second week in a row.
Salah is performing perfectly well, but his fellow attackers have been so sensational that he doesn’t move from third place.
2. Roberto Firmino

What a flick!
Liverpool’s subtle genius once again provided a wonderful assist, setting up Salah with an audacious bit of skill.
Initially starting on the bench after a busy international break with Brazil, Firmino was forced on early because of Divock Origi’s injury.
He proved why he’s so important to the team, making the Liverpool machine tick.

Goals win games and Mane is bringing them in abundance. It’s hard to put him anywhere else but on top of the Power Rankings after the weekend action.
The Senegalese winger tied the game with a brilliant finish and then added a second, being in the right place at the right time.
It’s four goals in four starts in the Premier League this season.
