A private settlement saw Liverpool FC pay Manchester City £1million after the current Premier League Champions complained that Liverpool breached their scouting system.
According to The Times, the payment was placed back in 2013 after allegations that staff members at Liverpool had used old credentials to log into City’s system.
These Liverpool fans took to social media to express their thoughts about this unsual incident and it’s fair to say that the responses were mixed.
As an lfc fan I’m curious to know why city accepted the money instead of reporting lfc?

In my opinion, I do not read too much into this. If both clubs agreed on a settlement, then what is the fuss about? In truth, I would likely have been more shocked if this scandal took place recently. However, it did not, it happened in 2013 and plenty has happened since. Furthermore, if Manchester City wanted to escalate this problem, surely we would have known about this issue six years ago?
