Jurgen Klopp guided Liverpool to a historic sixth UEFA Champions League crown last season, while the Reds had to settle for second place in the Premier League behind a sublime Manchester City side.

This current campaign looks set to bring even further success if the German coach can continue overseeing a solid start to proceedings until after the winter period, when the games will come thick and fast.

The Reds are currently seen as the narrow favourites to finally go all the way and lift the Premier League title this season, with fans able to bet on Liverpool ahead of every domestic fixture on Ruby Bet during what could be a truly historic campaign.

But the Anfield outfit will likely need a squad boost in January in order to maintain their form and fortunes, especially when injuries begin to build up and fixtures becoming congestive.

So, with that in mind, here are a few potential January transfer market signings for Klopp.

Piotr Zielinski

Serie A ace Piotr Zielinski has been sublime this term, and the Poland international would undoubtedly be a massive signing for the Premier League title front runners.

However, it would take a lot of money and even more persuading to get Napoli to hand over one of their main men in the centre of midfield halfway through the season.

But Anfield is a great destination for any star talent to boost their career and reputation, while Klopp will likely have the funds available after last season.

Timo Werner

It’s not like Liverpool are in desperate need of boosting their attacking ranks, as they already boast arguably the best front trio in Europe with Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

But the addition of a proper out-and-out striker in the form of Timo Werner would bring even further goals to the set-up and increase their chances of finally ending their wait for a domestic title triumph.

Kai Havertz

Bayer Leverkusen talent Kai Havertz has been tracked by the big European clubs for some time now, most notably Spanish giants Real Madrid.

But Liverpool could well land the 20-year-old Germany international with the player having recently admitted he would be open to arriving in the English top-flight.

Klopp will have to hurry though, with Los Blancos president Florentino Perez being a keen admirer of the hugely rated Bundesliga prospect.

Sander Berge

It was during the recent 2-1 victory over Genk in the Champions League that Klopp’s eye was caught by a rising starlet.

The performance of Sander Berg reportedly pushed the Anfield boss to praise him, with Belgian newspaper VG claiming he outlined: “You are an interesting player, a very interesting player.”

So, could he swoop for the 21-year-old defensive midfielder? He’s clearly already laid the groundwork following that European encounter, and Berge could well end up wearing the red of Liverpool in the coming months if Klopp gets his way.

These are all intriguing potential signings for Liverpool fans as they hope to witness another successful season next year, and the aforementioned names would undoubtedly bolster their prospects of achieving further desired silverware.
