Gary Neville has lavished huge praise on Roberto Firmino following his performance against Tottenham on Saturday evening.

The 28-year-old scored the only goal of the game as Liverpool continued their domestic dominance this season with their 20th win from 21 Premier League games.

And according to the Mirror, Neville was full of praise for the striker following the victory over Spurs.

Any manager in the world would love to have Firmino as their centre forward. Firmino for me, just what a player. What a player.

READ LIVERPOOL VERDICT

It’s difficult to argue with Neville here, and we certainly agree with his point.

While goals don’t always emphasise his importance to this Liverpool side, the 28-year-old’s recent contributions in front of goal have definitely quietened anybody doubting his ability to find the back of the net.

Bobby has now netted five goals in his last six appearances in all competitions and although he is yet to reach double figures in terms of goals this season, his overall ability to drop deep and link up with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane emphasises how crucial a player he is for Jurgen Klopp.

Selfless players like Firmino are invaluable for any club, and we believe Neville is therefore right to suggest that every manager in world football would want to have the 28-year-old in their team.
