Liverpool have been handed a triple injury boost ahead of Thursday’s game against Manchester City with the news that Adam Lallana, James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri are all set to be fit and available for selection.

All three players sat out as Liverpool defeated Crystal Palace last week, with different injury concerns, but they’ve all been training alongside their teammates this week and are ready to face Pep Guardiola’s side at The Etihad.

The fixture may not have as much riding on it as it has in year’s past with The Reds already confirmed as champions but both sets of players will want to lay down a market against their closest rivals in terms of league positions.

If Jurgen Klopp selects his strongest team for the game, then it’s highly unlikely that the trio of returning players will start the match but all three could be named on what would be a strong Liverpool substitutes bench.
