TEAMtalk have revealed that Watford have been aware of Liverpool’s interest in their forward Ismaila Sarr ”for some time”, and would not stand in his way should the Reds’ meet their valuation.
That valuation is believed to be around the £40m mark, and although talks are in the early stages, there is certainly an awareness of interest from the Premier League champions.
It is claimed both clubs would be interested in making the move happen, the recently relegated Watford seeing the opportunity to bring in numerous new players with the funds raised.
The 22-year-old Senegalese forward would certainly be an asset to the Championship club, however, new manager Vladimir Ivic is keen to bring in his own targets and will need money to do so.
Jurgen Klopp isn’t the only Premier League manager keen on Sarr, with Manchester United boss Ole Gunner Solksjaer also apparently interested in signing the forward too.

Sarr made a big impact during his first season in England last year and was an integral part of the Watford performance that stunned Klopp’s – at the time – unbeaten Reds at Vicarage Road in February.
Liverpool definitely need reinforcement in the advanced wide areas, and Sarr could provide that. Countryman Sadio Mane will also be relishing the prospect of potentially linking up with the Watford man.
