Despite the difficulties of last season, the Reds ended on a high and there were plenty of positives to take.

One of the biggest were debuts for a number of young stars at the club, who made a big impact during the campaign.

The likes of Nathaniel Phillips, Rhys Williams, Neco Williams, and even Leighton Clarkson were called upon.

However, one youngster made a great impression which earned him the No.2 jersey in the squad.

Young Irish goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher made his Champions League debut for the Reds against Ajax.

Having impressed during the game and at other points during the season which has seen his stock rise.

Now, it seems as though the club are prepared to loan out the goalkeeper next season.

The Daily Mail claims that the Reds recognise that Kelleher needs a regular run of games next season to kick on…

As cited by AnfieldWatch above, the club are likely to send the youngster out on loan next season.

Given his talent and his young age, it is understandable that he will need regular game time.

Alisson is a fantastic goalkeeper and it is unlikely that Kelleher would be able to lodge him out of his No.1 spot.

However, it is important that he continues to progress, and regular game time will allow this.

There is no doubt that plenty of clubs will likely be interested in securing his services on loan next season.

It will be interesting to see how this develops, but one thing for sure is that Liverpool have a real talent on their hands.
