With the summer transfer window now in full swing, the Reds, as per usual, are well invested.

Liverpool have already announced the new signing of French defender Ibrahima Konaté from RB Leipzig.

There have been plenty of other players linked with a move, including Patson Daka, Youri Tielemans, and Raphinha.

Not only that, but we are also likely to see some players depart with Divock Origi, Harry Wilson, and Marko Grujic all heading for the exit door.

This has led to replacements likely being needed for the outgoing individuls at Anfield.

Due to this, Peterborough chairman and lifelong Liverpool fan Darragh MacAnthony thinks he has the answer.

The Irishman feels that Liverpool should sign former Posh striker and current Brentford forward Ivan Toney…

Speaking on his Hard Truth podcast, as cited by Peterborough Telegraph, MacAnthony thinks Toney would be a hit.

The Englishman scored an incredible 31 goals last season with 10 assists in the Championship.

His 41 goal contributions helped Brentford to achieve Premier League promotion via the playoffs.

This has led to plenty of transfer interest for the striker, with MacAnthony gunning for Liverpool to sign the man.

“Liverpool cross the ball with quality for fun and imagine Ivan getting on the end of those crosses from those full-backs!”

There is no denying that Toney is an exciting forward who could provide excellent backup for the clubs forwards.

However, it seems unlikely that he would want to move this summer with him set to start for Brentford every week in the Premier League.

With a current market value of £16.2million according to Transfermarkt, that stock is likely to rise next season.

If Toney can make an impression in the Premier League, Liverpool will likely keep an eye out.
