Liverpool are already keeping there tabs open during the summer transfer window.

The club has already seen Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum leave the club this summer on a free transfer.

Wijnaldum has agreed a deal with French giants PSG after the club hijacked Barcelona’s initial agreement.

This has led to the club needing to find a replacement for the midfielder, with plenty of options available.

Rumours over deals for Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans and Lyon’s Houssem Aouar have already been mooted.

However, it is being reported that Liverpool are looking to make Barcelona youngster Pedri a ‘priority signing’ this summer.

Mundo Deportivo, as translated by the Daily Star, report that Liverpool are keen on the 18-year-old midfielder.

The youngster has been a breakthrough hit for the Catalan club after joining from Las Palmas in 2019.

Last season saw his first at the club after his loan back to Las Palmas, with him managing 4 goals and 6 assists.

Pedri seems an energetic box-to-box midfielder, who performed years beyond his age this season for Barcelona.

According to the reports, the Spaniard has a release clause of £70million, which could cause problems for the Reds.

With limited finances to operate on this season, the club are relying on player sales to make further investments.

However, if the Reds can stump up the cash for the midfielder, then he would no doubt be a fantastic addition.

Pedri is still so young with a very high ceiling, making him the ideal signing that Liverpool tend to look out for.

He is a player for the future, and could become an incredible player under the guidance of someone like Klopp.
