It appears as though Liverpool are set to revisit a previous target of Jurgen Klopp’s this summer.

The last month has provided some incredible football throughout the Euro 2020 tournament.

The competition has given clubs and fans alike a better chance at seeing some of the best talents across the continent.

Of course, this leads to plenty of big moves throughout the summer window after the tournament is said and done.

Liverpool now look set to rekindle their interest in Belgium teenage superstar Jérémy Doku this summer.

The 19-year-old has previously been a target of the Reds during his time at RSC Anderlecht last year.

Doku instead turned down a move to the Reds in favour of French side Stade Rennais for regular first-team football.

A wise choice for such a young player, who clearly felt it right to further his experience before a big-money move.

However, following his impressive performances for Belgium against Finland and Italy in the quarter-finals.

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, via GiveMeSport, the Reds have enquired over his availability.

Much to their dismay, however, they will likely have to stump up the €40million asking price set by Rennes.

At just 19-years-old, Doku has a whole career ahead of him that certainly looks bright.

Liverpool are very unlikely to be able to match the French club’s valuation of the winger given their financial situation.

Not only this, but it is also unlikely that the teenager would push either of Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mané out of the starting XI.

Doku needs first-team football at his age, to learn his craft and grow as a player.

A move to Liverpool right now simply won’t provide that, but in the future, he could become a more than a realistic target.

Jurgen Klopp is a long-time admirer of the youngster, so expect to see him linked with the club again in the future.
