# Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could return to full training in February

Jurgen Klopp says Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could return to full training in February or March, which means he’s ahead of schedule.

Speaking at the press conference ahead of Liverpool’s home game with Arsenal this weekend, the Liverpool manager said:

> \[Alex\] has started training outside. There was no reaction which is even nicer. No pressure on him but it looks like maybe February/March he could be back in normal training. It looks really good but he needs time. If you look at the little sessions he does outside it looks like he could play tomorrow but that’s not possible. It’s a surprise, he’s ahead of schedule. We won’t push him too much, we will see.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was injured in Liverpool’s Champions League semi-final first-leg win over Roma and the expectation was that he would miss the entire 2018/19 season.

With the England international already in light training, there is a chance that Liverpool could have the 25-year-old back for what could be a crucial end of season run in.
