# Alexander-Arnold “one of the best I’ve ever seen”, claims Neville

Trent Alexander-Arnold was a joy to watch at times on Sunday, as Liverpool beat Tottenham 2-1 at Anfield.

The 21-year-old’s technical brilliance caught the eye more than any other player on the pitch, showing why he is regarded as such a special talent.

No player in Europe’s top five leagues has created more chances than him (37) this season, which speaks volumes.

Someone who was in awe of Alexander-Arnold’s attacking performance was Gary Neville, who admittedly knows a thing or two about what makes a top class right-back.

[Speaking](https://www.rousingthekop.com/2019/10/28/one-of-the-best-ive-ever-seen-gary-neville-drools-over-alexander-arnold/) on *Sky Sports* after the game, the Manchester United legend admitted he is one of the best he has ever seen in that position, in an attacking sense:

> Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of the best attacking right backs I’ve ever seen.

> If he improves some of his defensive play he will go down as one of the best”, adding, “he passes like a number 10.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Alexander-Arnold is a generational talent – someone with the ability to be a future legend for both Liverpool and England.

In terms of his quality on the ball, there is no better right-back in world football.

In fairness, there are still slight flaws to the defensive side of Alexander-Arnold’s game, as Neville also pointed out, but he will mature over time.

Liverpool have a genuine superstar in their ranks when it comes to the boyhood Red – Sunday was his latest show of brilliance.
