# Berge plays down reports linking him with move to Liverpool

Sander Berge has played down reports linking him with a move to Liverpool, saying he is happy where he is.

The 21-year-old has caught the eye for Genk this season, shining twice against the Reds in the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp is thought to be a keen admirer of the midfielder, with Napoli also linked with acquiring his signature.

Despite rumours suggesting Berge could be on his way out of Genk in the near future, that may not be the case at all.

Speaking to *Het Laatste Nieuws*, via [https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/liverpool/transfer-talk/news/berge-plays-down-talk-of-liverpool-move_383045.html](https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/liverpool/transfer-talk/news/berge-plays-down-talk-of-liverpool-move_383045.html)*[Sports Mole](https://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/liverpool/transfer-talk/news/berge-plays-down-talk-of-liverpool-move_383045.html)*, the Norwegian says he is in no rush to move on:

> Winter or summer, every transfer period there is a lot of speculation about my future. But at the moment, there’s nothing concrete, and that’s just the truth.

> Playing Champions League with Racing Genk was a dream come true for me, but it’s not because that adventure is over that I absolutely want to leave now.

> If the right club comes forward and puts the right amount on the table for me then we can talk. Otherwise I’ll just stay with Racing Genk until the end of this season.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Berge has a bright future ahead of him, so it is no surprise to see Liverpool in the mix to sign him.

He possesses an elegance that would fit right in at Anfield, not to mention a strong work-rate and team ethic.

It may be that Liverpool have to wait for the time being, but it is certainly a transfer story to keep an eye on.
