# Besiktas want to extend Karius’ loan deal

Besiktas are keen on the idea of extending Loris Karius’ stay at the club, according to *Fanatik*, via [https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-ready-make-offer-liverpool-player-month-talks-expected-coming-days/](https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-ready-make-offer-liverpool-player-month-talks-expected-coming-days/)*[Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/club-ready-make-offer-liverpool-player-month-talks-expected-coming-days/)*.

The 26-year-old signed a two-year loan deal with the Turkish giants back in 2018, following his Champions League final nightmare against Real Madrid.

His contract will expire at the end of the season, potentially leaving him in limbo come the summer.

A good run of form has seen Besiktas eye up another loan spell, however, but they also have the option the make the move permanent in the summer.

Financial issues mean that is unlikely, though, making a loan extension the more likely outcome.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

It is good to see Karius playing well in Turkey, following such a sad end to his Liverpool career.

He is admittedly still a Reds player, but it is hard to envisage him ever playing for the club again.

Karius remains a talented goalkeeper with many years left in his career, however, and he could continue to blossom at Besiktas.
