# Brescia ready to ‘unleash an auction’ for Tonali’s signature

Brescia are prepared to ‘unleash an auction’ for the signing of star midfielder Sandro Tonali this summer, according to journalist [Gianluca Di Marzio](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/tonali-attracting-interest-for-summer-move-the-situation).

The 19-year-old has impressed for the Serie A side, with many likening him to Italian legend Andrea Pirlo.

Tonali is being tipped to leave for a bigger club this summer and Liverpool are one of those [linked](https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpools-klopp-likes-young-midfielder-lot-club-president-wants-e50m-minimum-sale/) with signing him.

The likes of Juventus, Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are also [mentioned](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/en/tonali-attracting-interest-for-summer-move-the-situation) as being interested.

Di Marzio claims Brescia are willing to allow the midfielder to leave, generating funds for new arrivals.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

Tonali would be an excellent signing for Liverpool, in my opinion, although I don’t see too much of a necessity to sign him right now.

The Reds look extremely well-stocked in midfield areas, excelling even without key men Fabinho and Naby Keita for available for large chunks of the last few months.

Tonali is a hugely exciting prospect, however, so I think Liverpool should at least entertain the idea of snapping him up.

He would represent a long-term acquisition, easing himself in as the likes of Jordan Henderson and Gini Wijnaldum potentially drift past their peak.

The teenager has [one goals and four assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/343501/Show/Sandro-Tonali) in Serie A this season, although his 73.9 percent pass completion rate would need to be improved upon at Liverpool.
