# Brewster “should certainly” make Liverpool debut this month – how good is he?

Patience will be required when it comes to judging Rhian Brewster, but he has the ability to be a future Liverpool superstar.

The 19-year-old is still awaiting his Reds debut as he recovers from a long-term injury layoff.

According to [The Athletic](https://theathletic.com/1186911/)‘s James Pearce, Brewster’s Liverpool bow is expected to come away to MK Dons in the Carabao Cup on September 25th:

> Rhian Brewster should certainly be involved and Curtis Jones could also get a chance depending on how the next few weeks go. But can’t see too many kids getting thrown in.

> As things stand Klopp has a lot of senior squad players who need game time. The likes of Gomez and Lovren at the back, Lallana, Shaqiri and Origi further forward.

Should Pearce’s prediction come to fruition, seeing Brewster make his debut will be an exciting sight for any Liverpool supporter.

The teenage striker is thought of incredibly highly by those at the club – had it not been for knee and ankle problems, his debut would have come a long time ago.

Liverpool are handling Brewster with care, though, and they won’t be rushing him into the first team squad on a regular basis for the time being.

A debut against MK Dons makes perfect sense, however, potentially giving key players the night off and providing the youngster with the proudest moment of his career to date.

If he can completely shrug off his injury woes, the sky is the limit for Brewster, for both club and country.
