# Can lauds Coutinho’s ability

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has lauded the ability of his teammate Philippe Coutinho.

Can says that he has never seen a player as talented as Coutinho during his career so far.

Coutinho has scored in his last three appearances for Liverpool, with the most recent coming in the form of a long-range strike against Newcastle in a 1-1 draw.

The Brazilian midfielder was heavily courted by Spanish giants Barcelona but Liverpool held firm and kept hold of their prized playmaker.

Liverpool were said to have rejected a number of bids from Barcelona over the summer, who failed to make an offer worthwhile for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Coutinho stayed, and now Can is giving him high praise – lauding his excellent ability on the ball.

> I never saw a talented player like him, he’s amazing.

> On the ball he is just amazing. It is very difficult to play against him.

Liverpool are currently seventh in the Premier League and seven points off the top of the table as it stands.
