# Ceballos told he can leave Real Madrid for Liverpool

Liverpool transfer target Dani Ceballos has been told that he can leave Real Madrid in the summer.

[According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, via TalkSport,](https://talksport.com/football/liverpool-transfer-boost-real-madrid-tell-midfielder-dani-ceballos-he-free-seal-anfield) Real Madrid have informed Ceballos that he is free to move on in the upcoming transfer window.

The report claims that this is following an offer from Liverpool to Real Madrid for the midfielder.

Ceballos will now have talks with Liverpool over a move to England before a move can be finalised.

Jurgen Klopp is a fan of Ceballos and is eager to add the midfielder to bolster his squad ahead of next season.

Liverpool have been linked with Ceballos for a number of months and now look set to go ahead with the deal.

The Spaniard has struggled to make an impact at Real and has failed to break into the first-team set-up on a regular basis.

The 21-year-old can play in central midfield, or as a wide player.
