# Chelsea fans’ reaction to Azpilicueta’s ‘goal’ is hilarious

Liverpool’s 2-1 win at Chelsea last weekend was a massive victory – arguably their biggest so far this season.

The Reds were aided by VAR when Cesar Azpilicueta’s apparent equaliser was ruled out, due to Mason Mount being in an offside position.

The Chelsea supporters celebrated the goal wildly, believing they had drawn level with the European champions.

A brilliant video has emerged of the home fans loving every minute of it, with one individual even crowd surfing, prior to their horror at the goal being disallowed.

These fans reacted to the footage on Twitter, finding it hilarious.

### Read Liverpool Verdict

This is comedy at its finest, going to show that VAR will make numerous supporters look foolish in the coming years.

It is a shame that it now feels odd celebrating a goal, though, in case it is swiftly ruled out, which undoubtedly takes some of the joy away from the game.

At the end of the day, however, Liverpool benefited from the correct decision – the result could have been so different if Azpilicueta’s goal had stood and Chelsea made it 1-1.

If you don’t like VAR, at least you can thank it for this wonderful footage!
