# Coutinho enjoying new partnership with Firmino

Liverpool’s Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho says that he is enjoying his new partnership with fellow countryman Roberto Firmino and says that he is learning more about the former Hoffenheim man every day, which will hopefully lead to them linking up more often and more effectively in the future.

Firmino had a difficult first few months at Anfield and his start wasn’t made any easier as Liverpool changed managers, but he’s started to show his quality more often in recent matches.

Coutinho, meanwhile, has played pretty well throughout the campaign, although he did miss a large part of the season firstly with an injury picked up in the win over Manchester City and another which he suffered in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final against Stoke City.

The win at City in particular showed the potential in the Coutinho/Firmino partnership and now that both are fit and firing, Coutinho is ready to take their play to the next level.

> Our understanding is improving and I am learning more and more about the way he likes to play, as well as his movement off the ball. Hopefully that can be beneficial to both Liverpool and Brazil.
