Diogo Jota makes assist claim on Instagram story

It appears as though Jota may have had a bigger part in the match winner than first thought, with him clearly making contact with the ball.

Despite Jota clearly just having a laugh about the situation, it appears as though users of [Fantasy Premier League](https://fantasy.premierleague.com/) are trying to make a case for the incident…

After the game, Jota was not credited with an assist for Trent’s goal on the FPL app, which cost owners of him in their squad a further three points.

It is understandable that owners of Jota would be frustrated but for the player himself, it appears to be just a bit of fun and games.

Trent’s showed a real grit in his character after a tough few weeks of criticism when finding himself left out of the England squad.

Liverpool now face the test of their second leg in the Champions League quarter-finals, with a visit from Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
