# Ex-Liverpool star Cameron Brannagan could join Burnley or Leeds

Cameron Brannagan’s last appearance in the Premier League came in 2016 when he was part of a much-changed Liverpool side that drew 1-1 with West Brom, just a few days before the Reds competed in the Europa League final.

However, he could soon be back playing in the top flight as he is a reported target for promotion hopefuls [Leeds United](https://www.leeds-live.co.uk/sport/leeds-united/latest-leeds-united-transfer-rumours-18091272) and current Premier League regulars [Burnley](https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-burnley-in-transfer-battle-with-leeds-5m-will-seal-the-deal/).

The Salford-born star joined Liverpool at a very young age and progressed through the club’s academy and eventually made it into the first team set up.

He made his senior debut as a substitute in a 1-1 Europa League draw Bordeaux under Brendan Rodgers, and a few weeks later, he was given his full debut by new manager Jurgen Klopp in a League Cup win against Bournemouth.

In total, Brannagan made nine appearances for the Reds before he signed for Oxford, for an undisclosed fee, in January 2018.

Aged 23, the midfielder has developed well in League One, winning the club’s  Players’ Player of the Year Award for the 2018/19 season.

It looks like his performances have not gone unnoticed and the Reds could soon find themselves facing off against Brannagan in the Premier League.
