# Midfielders Liverpool should look to sign this summer

Liverpool are enjoying a good season in the Premier League and with the last quarter of the campaign still to play, they’ll be hoping to secure Champions League football ahead of next season.

However, if they are matched with Europe’s elite teams in the 2017/18 season, they will most certainly need to strengthen the current crop of options if they are to even stand a chance of competing against the best.

Although it’s been a good season for Jurgen Klopp and his Reds side, there are clear areas that can be improved on and areas that will need to be bolstered in the summer transfer window.

One of these key areas is in central midfield; a position that has been largely scrutinised this season.

Georginio Wijnaldum has enjoyed an impressive maiden season in Liverpool colours, and whilst Jordan Henderson is an undisputed starter, he has been unfortunate with injury. Lucas Leiva is out of contract at the end of the season and Emre Can is also relatively inconsistent.

Here are some midfielders the Reds should look to sign!
