# Five central defenders Liverpool could sign

Liverpool, for all their success this season, are not yet a ‘finished’ squad.

The struggle to find first team quality central defenders is indicative of that, with Fabinho expected to line up alongside Joel Matip for the Champions League Round-of-16 first leg against Bayern Munich next week.

Matip himself was linked with a move away from Anfield during the summer, and could make an exit for good this time around.

General consensus seems to be that the Reds need a new centre-half, so I thought I’d look at five potential candidates to make the move to Merseyside.
