# Four Findings: Liverpool 2-2 Sporting CP

Liverpool ended their tour of the United States with a 2-2 draw with Sporting CP at Yankee Stadium in the early hours of Thursday morning.

An expectant crowd hoped to see the Reds secure their first win across the pond this summer, but they came up against a determined Sporting outfit.

Simon Mignolet suffered an early disaster, allowing Bruno Fernandes’ long-range effort to creep through his gloves and into the net.

Man-of-the-moment Divock Origi equalised with a poached effort after Jordan Henderson’s header was kept out, before Georginio Wijnaldum made it 2-1 before the break.

Unfortunately, Liverpool couldn’t kick on in the second half and Wendel equalised with a well-taken finish, earning his side a share of the spoils.

All in all, Jurgen Klopp’s men played well, however, with more vibrancy to their attacking play compared to previous matches this summer.

Here’s what we learned from Liverpool 2-2 Sporting CP.
