# Four Findings: Liverpool 4-1 Stoke City

With one eye clearly on Thursday’s arrival of Borussia Dortmund at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp stretched the squad to ensure key players remained rested. Yet, Liverpool got a precious early goal that set the tone, ultimately leading to a 4-1 victory over Stoke City.

The boss made seven changes to the side that started Thursday’s Europa League fixture in Germany. With a mix of youth and key regulars, the decision paid off in fine fashion. Given that the squad has not shown the greatest depth, it was another sign of improvement since Klopp’s arrival.

Scoring a goal in the eighth minute ensured the Reds benefitted from an aggressive start at Anfield. From there, Liverpool rode a wave of confidence that even a shoddy set-piece defence could not scramble. Conceding only seemed to galvanise the group and make them more aggressive.

Suddenly, Liverpool look like they have a load of goals in them.
